A Boston charity called Local Hope have made an extremely generous donation to our club of two new Suunto Vyper Dive Computers for use by new trainees. Dive Computers are a vital piece of equipment that helps to keep divers safe. Our club meets on Tuesday evenings and on the 1st of August Sue Gosling (centre) and two of her colleagues from the charity came to our clubroom to make the presentation to Mark Back (left) and our Kit Officer Ricardas Kuprelis (right).
Some other members of our club joined in for a group photo.
In the past trainees have had to borrow dive computers from other members during training until they have been able to purchase their own. This generous donation will be a great help to them.
Local Hope are a Boston charity that is run completely by volunteers who raise money for local causes to make positive change. They have provided an Ability Swing for wheelchair users in Boston’s Central Park and are currently supplying bags of toiletries for Dementia patients in Pilgrim Hospital. To find out more about Local Hope please visit their website at localhope.co.uk or search for them on Facebook. Maybe you would like to join their volunteers to help raise money for good causes or possibly even make a donation.
Thank you Local Hope. 😊
