On Sunday the 25th July a group from the club set out on a bbq with a difference. We launched from Fosdyke Bridge in Lincolnshire and set off down the River Welland out into the Wash! The weather was a little overcast but it was still warm with a slight breeze which made the trip out into the Wash an exhilarating experience. As the tide went out we moored the RHIBS up on Long Sands out in the middle of the Wash and watched the Grey Seals whilst we had a bbq. After this had settled we had a game of rounders with the best team winning of course ?. This was followed by sand castle making and inspecting the many Jellyfish that had washed up on the beach before we returned to Fosdyke.
This was a very enjoyable day which will hopefully become an annual event again within the club.
